Before you book

Questions Milwaukee drivers ask us

How much does a detail cost?

It depends on your vehicle's size and condition and the package you choose — a lightly used sedan and a salt-caked truck are very different jobs. Call (414) 555-0187 with your make and model and we'll give you a straight estimate up front. We don't spring surprise add-ons once the work is underway.

How long does a full detail take?

A full interior-and-exterior detail typically runs several hours, while paint correction and ceramic coating can take a full day or longer because the paint has to be corrected and the coating properly cured. We'll give you a realistic time window when you book so you can plan around it.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car to you?

Either works. We offer mobile service to driveways and workplaces across Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, and the North Shore, or you can drop the car at our shop at 1535 S 1st St. Coating and correction work is often best done at the shop for controlled lighting and dust — we'll advise when you call.

How far in advance should I book?

Same-week scheduling is often available, but coating and correction slots fill faster because they take longer. The sooner you reach out, the more flexibility you'll have on timing — especially in spring and fall when everyone's booking.

How long does ceramic coating actually last?

A properly prepped and applied coating keeps beading and protecting for years, not months, when you maintain it with the right wash routine. We correct the paint first so the coating bonds to a flawless surface, and we send you home with simple care instructions to protect the investment.

Can you get out pet hair, stains, and winter salt?

Yes — hot-water extraction, steam, and the right brushes handle embedded pet hair, ground-in salt, and most food and drink stains. Some deep or old stains can't be guaranteed to lift completely, and we'll tell you honestly what to expect before we start rather than after.

What if the weather's bad on my mobile appointment?

Wisconsin weather doesn't always cooperate, so we monitor the forecast and will reschedule or shift the work to our shop if rain, cold, or snow would affect quality. Coatings especially need the right temperature and clean conditions to cure, so we won't rush them in bad weather.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Blackout Auto Detailing is licensed and insured, so your vehicle is covered from the moment we start working on it. If you ever have a concern, we'd rather you raise it during the final walk-around than drive off unsure.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept standard payment methods and will confirm the specifics when you book. If you're arranging a detail before selling a car or as a gift, just let us know and we'll make it easy.

Will detailing remove all my scratches?

Paint correction removes swirl marks, wash scratches, oxidation, and light defects that sit in the clear coat, and the results are often dramatic. Deep scratches that have cut through the clear coat may only be improved rather than erased — we'll inspect your paint and set honest expectations before quoting.
